The Sycamore Institute will host a half-day workshop in the University Center Chattanooga Room on Saturday, June 3 from 9:30-1:30 pm to discuss the trade-offs of state and local criminal fee and fine policies in Tennessee. You are cordially invited to attend and to share this invitation with your colleagues and networks.

About the Event

The Policy Network on Criminal Fees & Fines invites you to participate in a half-day workshop that aims to facilitate discussions regarding the complexities and potential consequences of state and local criminal fee and fine policies. The workshop will start with an introduction to the topic, followed by a panel discussion with local public officials. Participants will then engage in one of three interactive breakout sessions focused on reentry, bail, or financial impacts on local government. Finally, a closing panel will feature individuals who have had personal experiences with criminal fees and fines.
