About this Event
This is an open meeting of the S3 Coalition accessible to all UTC Students interested in climate activism, urban development, accessibility, and open political discourse involving the intersections of these two fields. This open meeting will showcase our current and future projects to incoming students as well as allow for an open discussion at the end where any student may share their thoughts or ideas on how to best tackle the situations we all face now as young people in an uncertain world. Following our weekly presentation, we will have an open hearing where Students can have their voices and ideas heard, we will then vote on various measures to advance our goals of a green, accessible campus.
S3 Coalition (Student Sustainability Society) is a grassroots Coalition of likeminded Students across several UTC organizations, who are concerned about the drastic social and ecological developments happening on our planet and in our communities. We will be meeting weekly as a group to plan and discuss student led activism on campus and in the Chattanooga area, providing leadership experience and enriching volunteer opportunities for our Students, often in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations to build towards sustainable goals and campus projects.
