Quantum Computing in Intelligent Transportation Systems

Speaker: Ngoc Bao Tam Bang

Abstract:

Quantum Computing is emerging as a transformative technology in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), addressing complex challenges that classical computing struggles to solve. This presentation explores the general problems in ITS, such as traffic optimization, routing, and resource management, while highlighting the limitations of traditional approaches. Current trends and ongoing research demonstrate the growing interest in integrating quantum technologies into ITS to enhance efficiency and decision-making. A significant focus is placed on Quantum AI and Variational Quantum Algorithms (VQAs), highlighting their potential advantages, such as solving optimization problems, handling complex systems, and leveraging quantum parallelism to improve computational efficiency.
