Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the College of Arts and Sciences's Diversity Committee. Enjoy a lecture given by Dr. Cynthia Orozco followed by a short Q&A and a reception during which she will sign copies of her three books. 

Dr. Cynthia Orozco is a historian, a museum and film consultant, and an award-winning and best-selling author. Her book, Pioneer of Mexican-American Civil Rights: Alonso D. Perales, has the distinction of being the first authoritative biography of Alonso S. Perales, the founder of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Dr. Orozco is currently completing a book about LULAC's 100 years of activism and service in honor of the organization's centenary, which they will celebrate in 2029.
