Abstract:

The vertical general linear complementarity problem (VGLCP) is a basic framework for optimization that adds support for vertical block matrices to the linear complementarity problem (LCP). This problem arises in various applications, including economics, engineering, and game theory. The goal of this study is to solve the VGLCP, which is associated with a vertical block P-matrix. This work presents a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the problem, establishing conditions under which the VGLCP gives a unique solution. The study also suggests effective numerical algorithms that take advantage of the structure of vertical block P-matrices. Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods, highlighting their practical applicability and performance. This study advances the understanding of VGLCPs and contributes to the development of reliable solution techniques for this important class of problems.
