Are you curious about the Día de Muertos holiday? Ever wanted to learn to make tamales? Join us as we cook and prepare this iconic Day of the Dead food.

WHO: Everyone is invited, but advance registration is required.

WHERE: Metro 305 (Food Science Lab)

WHEN: Thursday, October 30 | 3:30 – 6:30 PM

Three shifts available; choose your shift:

  • Shift 1: 3:30-4:30 PM
  • Shift 2: 4:30-5:30 PM
  • Shift 3: 5:30-6:30 PM

WHY: Make friends, build community, and learn about the "Day of the Dead" holiday, Latin American culture, and how to prepare this iconic celebration food!

Then, join us at our Día de Muertos Celebration on Friday, October 31, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the MCLL Language Lab (Lupton 239)!

Activities will include:

  • "Day of the Dead" themed film screenings and conversations
  • Building an Ofrenda to honor deceased friends and family (you can bring photos and mementos to add to the ofrenda to celebrate your loved ones!)
  • Enjoy tamales and other Day of the Dead edible delicacies
