Join us on Friday, October 31, for our Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead/All Souls Day) celebration! Gather with us to honor and remember our friends and family who have passed. Bring photos and remembrances to add to the ofrenda.
This come-and-go event will take place in 239 Lupton Hall (the MCLL Language Lab), from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Drop in as your schedule allows and enjoy one or more of these activities: 

Día de Muertos-themed short-film screenings and discussions. 

Building an ofrenda (an altar created to honor and welcome the souls of deceased loved ones, particularly during Día de Muertos celebrations). Feel free to bring photos or mementos of deceased loved ones to add to the ofrenda!

Enjoy a lunch of assorted sweet and savory tamales, including pork, chicken, rajas con queso (strips of roasted poblano peppers and cheese), and pineapple.
Conversations about the Día de Muertos holiday and its traditions.

Games and fun with other students, faculty, and staff.
