About this Event
UTC is excited to once again participate in the local United Way's Day of Caring Volunteer Service initiative on Friday, September 20th! Make plans to join us in this city-wide opportunity that traditionally involves 500+ community volunteers across 50 or more different locations. You will be making such an impact! Mocs, Chattanooga needs you.
Our campus has been able to reserve volunteer spots across 5 off-site locations (Habitat ReStore; Red Bank Middle School; YMCA; Chattanooga Foundation; Normal Park Trail) with additional on-campus opportunities where YOUR servant leadership hands are needed for efforts such as cleaning, sorting, painting, mowing, mulching, moving debris, and writing cards. What a great way to end UTC Founder's Week! You will be able to indicate a preferred volunteer site on the RSVP, but be ready to go inside and/or outside at any site. Interested participants need to be available from 7:45am to 12:30pm and to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. A grab-n-go breakfast, transportation and lunch will be available at an optional celebration (12:30pm-2:00pm) upon your return! If you are registering on behalf of an organization/team, please select the number of participants in your group (i.e. guests) during registration. Do note that it is you plus the amount of group members (i.e. guests). Organizations/teams may be separated based on needs.
If you are worried about a class obligation, let your professors know that you would like to serve the community! A letter regarding your participation (not an excuse note) is available.

If you have any questions about this event, contact the Director of Leadership Development and Programs Danny Grzesik at Daniel-Grzesik@utc.edu or (423)425-4252. Thank you for making the decision to serve! This event would not be possible without volunteers like you and our numerous initiative partners.
