Propose an AI-related solution to a problem in an impactful field and you just might win prizes. Undergraduates and graduate students of all fields of study are encouraged to form teams to bring their ideas to the first-ever Apply AI: Generative AI Competition organized by the College of Engineering and Computer Science.

Teams are to be made up of two to four students, which can be any combination of undergraduates or graduate students in any major. Each team will present its proposal involving generative AI technology/ies in a solution to an existing challenge in one or more of these fields:

  • Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • Climate Change/Environment
  • Automotives/Aerospace
  • Clean Energy>
  • Workforce Development

Presentations will take place on April 4 before a panel of judges, and prizes will be awarded to the top four teams. The short time frame is intentional, as the competition centers on presenting proposals and not prototypes—although bonus points will be awarded if prototypes are presented.
