Sound the alarm! It's time for the 2025 Scrappy's Showcase in McKenzie Arena!

UTC students, faculty, staff and community are invited to attend the 2025 Scrappy’s Showcase on April 3, 2025 at 8PM in the McKenzie Arena! This event involves group-based performances featuring a skit to highlight and celebrate why we love UTC. Experience a night of high energy and how stopping performances as we find out who is walking away with the championship title(s). Come cheer on your fellow Mocs as they take the stage for an unforgettable night. See you there!

DETAILS:

Doors Open – 7 p.m. 

Show Time – 8 p.m.

Doors Close – 8:30 p.m. (No one will be permitted into the Arena after doors close)

 

ENTRY:

-This event FREE for all currently enrolled UTC Students, Faculty, Staff and Community members. UTC Students, Faculty, and staff can check in using their event pass by clicking HERE. Community members can check in by signing in at the Gate 1 entrance on the day of the event.

-McKenzie Arena enforces a CLEAR BAG POLICY! All Non-clear bags are not permitted.

-Prohibited Items Include: Weapons of any kind, Tobacco Products (including Vapes), Professional/Flash Cameras, Outside Food/Drink, Non-Clear Bags, Noise Makers, Laser Pointers, Balloons or signs, Glitter and Paint

Judging Criteria and Awards 

All performance groups will be judged based on the following criteria and award(s) will be given to those that place in First, Second, and Third.

  • Storytelling (30 points): The performance needs to deliver a clear, compelling, and well-structured story. The narrative should be cohesive and effectively engage the audience throughout. 
  • School Spirit (25 points): The performance should celebrate UTC pride, showcasing enthusiasm and strong connections to the university’s identity (e.g., colors, mascot, traditions). 
  • Enthusiasm and Energy (20 points): The group should exhibit high energy and enthusiasm, creating a contagious, engaging atmosphere. Performers should appear fully committed and confident. 
  • Creativity and Originality (15 points): The performance must be highly creative, with unique elements that make it stand out. Effort should be evident in incorporating diverse talents and ideas. 
  • Overall Impact (10 points): The performance should leave a lasting impression on the audience, effectively combining elements of storytelling, enthusiasm, and school pride to create an engaging and memorable act.
