Built in the 1970s and named for Dr. Irvine Grote, former faculty member and alum who became a distinguished American Pharmaceutical chemist. Dr. Grote invented the active ingredient in Rolaids, Murine eyedrops, and was a co-inventor of Bufferin. This building houses the departments of Chemistry & Physics and the Geology Program.
